TUNE into Totally Wild on Channel 10 at 8am on Friday, August 20 to see netballers from Metropolitan Districts Netball Association (MDNA) in action.

In June the team from Totally Wild made a visit to the association to film a segment with 40 participants from the NetSetGO! Program and the segment will go to air this week.

The young athletes were joined by nine representative netballers as well as Mission Queensland Firebirds as part of the session.

San Remo NetSetGO! Ambassador and Mission Queensland Firebird Clare McMeniman led the activities and took Totally Wild presenter Sean Kennedy through the ropes of a NetSetGO! Session and the popular San Remo NetSetGO! Activity Centre.

Clare took Sean through correct passing and shooting techniques and finished up with a jump off on the Activity Centre, which Clare easily won.

“The San Remo NetSetGO! Program is a great way for young netballers to learn the skills involved with the game,” Clare said.

“The program is open to both boys and girls and from his skill set it’s obvious Sean could have benefited from the San Remo NetSetGO! Program as a child.”

Another Firebird on hand to help on the day was Laura Scherian, who along with Clare, played some of her junior netball at Metro.

“Coming back here today, brought back some memories from when I played netball here as a child,” Laura said.

“I started playing netball when I was a four-year-old and there was nothing like the San Remo NetSetGO! Program back then, although I wish there was.”

All 40 participants received a sample bag and Mission Queensland Firebirds poster signed by both Clare and Laura.
