I LOVE THE QUEENSLAND FIREBIRDS BUT DON’T LIVE IN SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND. IS THERE A MEMBERSHIP I CAN SIGN UP FOR TO SHOW MY PASSION FOR THE TEAM AND STAY UP-TO-DATE DURING THE SEASON?

Yes. The Queensland Firebird’s FireFan membership is the perfect way to support your Firebirds from afar. Members will receive the same merchandise pack as fully fledged members, plus exclusive access to members’ only digital content including player interviews, match previews and more. This is also a great option for locals to show support if you are unable to commit to attending home matches – you will receive a 10% discount on Bronze tickets to all home matches throughout the season. However, you will need to get in quick, as tickets are in hot demand and this discount is subject to availability of tickets.

DOES BAD WEATHER HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO AFFECT GAMES?

No. All Firebirds home matches are played indoors.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE AT STADIUMS ARE EXPENSIVE. CAN I BRING MY OWN?

Yes. As long as you bring a bag that does not exceed venue size restrictions you can pack any snacks and beverages you desire. Ensure you do not bring glass or excessively large items. Visit the venue websites above to confirm relevant restrictions and considerations.

WILL I GET TO MEET THE PLAYERS DURING THE SEASON?

Yes. An upcoming Firebirds fan day will provide members with exclusive access to meet the playing group and staff. Firebirds players also sign autographs and meet fans after each home match.

IS FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AVAILABLE TO GAMES?

Public transport is not included in the cost of your ticket. However, all Firebirds home venues have plentiful paid parking facilities. Visit www.bcec.com.au, www.brisent.com.au or www.gccec.com.au for more information.

WHY ARE GAMES ON AT LATER TIME SLOTS IN 2017?

In a historic first, two featured Suncorp Super Netball matches per round will be broadcast live and free on the Nine Network in 2017, with two on delay. The move to Saturday evening time slots is to accommodate this broadcast and ensure more people than ever get a chance to fall in love with netball in 2017. The move to evening matches will also benefit families committed to association netball and ensure club matches do not clash with Firebirds home ties.

I LOVED BRISBANE CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE. WHY ARE YOU ONLY PLAYING TWO GAMES THERE IN 2017?

The decision to move more matches to Brisbane Entertainment Centre in 2017 was based purely on demand. With all Firebirds home games sold-out months ahead of time in 2016, thousands of fans missed out on the chance to see their Birdies live in action. In 2017, taking four games to Brisbane Entertainment Centre (to be played in the grand final seating alignment of 10,000 fans) allows more fans to get behind the team. We are looking forward to delivering a bigger, better match day experience where more fans can cheer the Birdies to victory.

I NOTICE CHILDREN’S PRICES HAVE NOT INCREASED AT THE SAME RATE AS ADULTS. WHY IS THIS?

The Queensland Firebirds are focused on making match day as affordable as possible for families and children. By keeping children’s prices low, Firebirds home matches will remain an affordable and exciting proposition for families.

WHY HAVE MEMBERSHIP PRICES INCREASED?

With Suncorp Super Netball launching in 2017, Firebirds membership prices have increased in line with the new value members will receive. With seven home matches (including two double headers), exclusive members-only digital content, an exciting membership pack and priority access to home finals, this is the most value-packed membership package the Firebirds have ever offered. Purchasing a 2017 membership guarantees you a seat at all seven (7) home games and priority access to finals tickets.

WHY CAN’T I BOOK MY EXISTING MEMBERSHIP SEATS FOR 2017?

The Firebirds will play four home games at Brisbane Entertainment Centre in 2017 compared to one in 2016. These games will be played in the grand final seating alignment, allowing up to 10,000 fans to cheer on the team. With these exciting venue changes in mind, last year’s seating arrangement is not reflective of what’s in store for 2017. Renewing members will get the chance to select new seats and see their Firebirds from an all new perspective for the inaugural year of Suncorp Super Netball. The renewing member sale will be open for a two-week window prior to membership going on sale to the general public.   For the two games the Firebirds are playing at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, a new membership tier system means your seats will change. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare our new membership structure.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY MEMBERSHIP?

The Queensland Firebirds Membership Department on 1300 066 056.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR DISABLED SEATING?

Limited disabled parking is available. For information on disabled parking please visit www.bcec.com.au; www.brisent.com.au or www.gccec.com.au.

DO I GET PRIORITY ACCESS TO MY REGULAR SEASON SEATS AT FINALS TIME?

The Suncorp Super Netball finals series is controlled by Netball Australia and as such, the Queensland Firebirds are unable to secure regular season seats for members. However, priority access should ensure members have the opportunity to purchase the best seats in the house before the general public.

DOES MY MEMBERSHIP GIVE ME SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL FINALS ACCESS?

I WOULD PREFER PAPER TICKETS RATHER THAN A MEMBERSHIP PASS. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Yes.  Paper tickets can be ordered on the application form and will be issued instead of a plastic member card.  Members can order a set of season paper tickets for a fee of $4.95 per seat.

I HAVE ARRIVED AT THE VENUE AND HAVE FORGOTTEN MY SEASON MEMBERSHIP PASS. CAN I STILL GET TO THE GAME?

Yes. Visit the Ticketek counter and present photo identification.  A replacement ticket will be issued for that particular game. The member card will still remain valid for all other games in the season.

The new setup, unfortunately does not allow for member seating courtside. Instead, 2016 Birdsnest members will have the opportunity to secure seats during a priority member renewal period. Your priority renewal period will commence 24-hours prior to the general member renewal, allowing you time to secure first preference of seating (and the best member seats in the house).
