GENERAL QUESTIONS

How do I renew my Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds Membership?

The 2018 Lorna Jane Qld Firebirds Membership renewal period opens 12pm AEST, Thursday 19 October 2017 and closes 5pm AEST, Wednesday 1 November 2017.

The easiest way in which 2017 Members can renew their Memberships is online. Members will need to logon to the Firebirds portal found in your renewal email using your username and password.

If you have forgotten your username or password, click on the Forgot Password link to retrieve your details.

When will I receive my personalised Membership Card and Pack?

All Members who renew their 2018 Membership during the renewal window will receive their packs in early December. Packs will take approximately 28 days to reach Members after their purchase.

Members’ packs will be sent directly to the address listed on your Membership profile. Members will also be able to track their 2018 Membership pack. An email will be provided including all tracking information.

Members who sign up during the general public member purchases are not guaranteed to arrive prior to Christmas. The Club will endeavour to ensure Membership packs are available pre-Christmas, however this is not guaranteed and subject to change depending on Australia Post. Gift certificates will be available for Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds memberships should the Membership be a Christmas gift – please email [email protected] to organise a certificate.

Where will Firebird home games be played?

All Firebird home games will be played at either the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall, or the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, Carrara.

How can I update my personal contact details?

To receive all Firebirds communication, we kindly ask Members to ensure that their correct contact information is provided at the time of renewal. Should your details change during the Membership period, please visit the Membership Portal to update your details on the system.

How do I apply for disabled seating?

Members with a disability should include specific seating requirements with their membership application.  This should include the need for wheelchair seating and if required, a carer seat located adjacent to the person with the disability. Limited disabled parking is available. For information on disabled parking please visit: Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Carrara Sports & Leisure Centre websites.

I wasn’t a 2017 Member, but would like to sign-up in 2018. How can I do this?

2017 Lorna Jane Queensland Firebird members will have the opportunity to renew their Memberships from 12pm AEST, Thursday 19 October  2017 to 5pm AEST, Wednesday 1 November 2017. New members will have the opportunity to sign up as a member available after the renewal period closes.  This will be available from Thursday 9 November 2017.

 I am a Firebirds member and would like to attend an Interstate match. How do I purchase tickets?

2018 Firebirds Members have the opportunity to purchase a ticket to Firebirds away games through the Club. Members will be required to contact the Club a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the match to purchase tickets:

 Is my membership transferrable?

If a member is unable to attend a match the membership may be given to another party to use if they meet the ticket criteria. For example, a junior membership can only be used by another eligible junior.

I would prefer paper tickets rather than a membership pass. Is this possible?

Yes. Members can order a set of season paper tickets for a fee of $4.95 per seat. Paper tickets can be ordered at the time of purchase and will be issued instead of a plastic membership card.

I have arrived at the venue and have forgotten my season membership pass.  What do I do?

Visit the Venue Box Office and let them know you left your membership card at home.  You will be asked to present photo identification and then a replacement paper ticket will be issued for that game.

Does my membership give me access to the Suncorp Super Netball Finals matches?

The Suncorp Super Netball finals matches are controlled by Netball Australian and as such, your season membership does not include entry to these fixtures. However, all Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds Members will be provided a priority access member pre-sale should the we host a 2018 home final.

Do I get to sit in my regular seat at finals series matches?

As the Suncorp Super Netball finals matches are controlled by Netball Australia you are not guaranteed access to your same seat as regular season matches. However, priority access should ensure all Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds members have an opportunity to purchase the best seats in the house before they go on sale to the general public.

UPGRADES AND SEAT CHANGES

I am a current member and I wish to upgrade my seat. How does this work?

Purchasing of any available seats following the renewal deadline will be allocated based on the following priority purchase:

  1. Existing Members renewing into their own seats;
    ii. Renewing Members requesting a seating upgrade;
    iii. New Members.

2017 Members will have the opportunity to renew their Memberships from 9am AEST Thursday 19 October 2017 to 5pm AEST, Wednesday 1 November 2017.

When renewing your 2017 Membership, there will be an option on the renewal page that will allow Members to ‘Add a Comment’. Please place your seating request in the available space. Alternatively, Members can call the Firebirds membership hotline number on 1300 066 056 with their Order Number and seating request information.

Should Members be successful in their request to upgrade their seats, a representative from the Ticketek Memberships Department will be in contact to confirm.

I’m a 2017 Member and wish to add additional supporters to my group. How can I do this?

If you are wishing to add new members to your order, it will be treated as a NEW order and therefore your current seats will be released and your order will be processed during the new membership sign on. 

 FAMILIES, CONCESSIONS & JUNIORS

What is the definition of a family membership?

2018 Firebirds Family Memberships must consist of two (2) Adults and two (2) Junior Members or one (1) Adult and three (3) Junior Members. Junior members must be under the age of 12 as of the 31 December 2018.

You can however add additional junior members to your Family membership.

What qualifies as a Concession Member?

Persons holding a current Seniors Card, Pensioners Card or Full-Time Student Card. It is a condition of these concessions that if requested you agree to present your concession identification card upon entry to the venue. Note: Health Care Cards are not accepted as a form of concession.

How old are Junior Members?

To qualify for a Junior Membership, you must be under the age of 12 as of the 31 December 2018.
Children under the age of four (4) are permitted free entry if sitting on the knee of a paying adult/guardian.

PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 What is the $3.95 Service & Handling fee?

In 2016, Ticketek introduced a $3.95 Service & Handling fee on all membership transactions. This fee is charged to all 2018 Membership transactions, regardless of payment method.

What is Debit Success?

2018 Members have the opportunity to pay for their memberships through Debit Success monthly instalments. This payment plan is available in seven (7) easy payments.

The seven instalments will run from December 2017 until June 2018^. For a full list of Debit Success Terms and Conditions CLICK HERE.

¹Please note: a $5.00 Debit Success sign-up fee will be charged with your first instalment. Members will also be charged an additional 3% to pay via monthly instalments as part of Debit Success fees.

MEMBER EVENTS

When is the Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds pre-season fan day?

The Firebirds Fan Day is yet to be finalised. Details will be communicated to members via email once this event has been finalised.

Members Only pre-season match Information

In 2018 we will be offering Lorna Jane Queensland Firebird Members the chance to purchase tickets to a Members Only pre-season match vs the Melbourne Vixens.  This match will take place on the first weekend of March 2018.  Further details about this event will be communicated to members via email once this event information has been finalised.

NEW! Members only post-match function information

In 2018, there will be a designated members only post-match function on Saturday 26 May at Brisbane Entertainment Centre. More information about this event will be emailed to members closer to the date.

EXISTING MEMBER INFORMATION

New! Earlier centre pass times in 2018

Great news members! In 2018 we will have much earlier centre pass times. Home matches throughout the 2018 Suncorp Super Netball season will start at the family-friendly times of either 1pm or 3pm.

Can I book my existing seats for season 2018?

In 2018, the vast majority of members will be able to renew their 2017 seats. However Suncorp Super Netball’s shift to family friendly centre pass times means our events team will have much less time to get the venue set up for a match. This has resulted in a small change to the venue layout which has caused some minor seating changes, including opportunity to access more Platinum and Gold seating options. Renewing members will get the chance to select their existing or new seats during a two week member renewal period from 19 October 2017 until Wednesday 1 November 2017.

I loved matches at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), why are the Firebirds not playing at BCEC this season?

The decision to move matches away from BCEC in 2018 was based purely on fan demand for tickets. While BCEC is a fantastic venue with an ideal central location, the move to larger venues will enable more fans than ever to get behind the Firebirds. In 2019 and beyond it is envisioned games will be relocated to our new State Home of Netball venue in Upper Mount Gravatt, which is currently under construction.

 

NEW MEMBER INFORMATION

Is public transport free to Lorna Jane Queensland Firebird matches?

Public transport is not included in the cost of your ticket. However all Firebirds home venues have plentiful paid parking facilities.

Will I get to meet the players during the season?

Members will get more chances than ever before to meet the Firebirds players next year. There will be a Firebirds fan day in early 2018, an exclusive members-only pre-season match v the Melbourne Vixens in early March, as well as a one-off members-only post-match function on Saturday 26 May at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Firebirds players will also sign autographs and meet fans for a limited time after each home match.

Food and beverages at stadiums are expensive. Can I bring my own with me?

Yes, as long as you bring a bag no larger than an A4 size of paper. Ensure you do not bring glass or excessively large items and visit the venue websites to confirm relevant restrictions.

Does bad weather have the potential to affect Firebirds matches?

No. All Firebirds home matches are played indoors.

FIREFAN MEMBER INFORMATION

I love the Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds but don’t live in South East Queensland. Is there a membership I can sign up for to show my passion for the team and stay up to date during the season?

For only $30 the Firefan membership is the perfect way to support your team when you can’t make every match. Firefan members will receive the same merchandise pack and member newsletters as a fully-fledged ticketed member. You will also receive the same pre-sale access to any home finals matches the Firebirds may play in 2018.

If you are able to make it to a 2018 Firebirds home match, your Firefan membership grants you a 10% discount on Bronze tickets to all Firebirds home matches. The discount is subject to seating availability at time of purchase.
