Macy Gardner

After a breakout 2023 season was curtailed by a broken wrist suffered during the Round Seven clash with the Melbourne Vixens, young midcourter Macy Gardner is poised to cement her spot in the Firebirds line-up in 2024.

Gardner made six appearances in 2023 including her first start for the club in the Round Six win over Giants Netball at Nissan Arena and her commitment to the team was reflected with her claiming the Firebirds’ Spirit Award.

Driven by a fierce desire to win, blessed with speed and a knack for reading the play, Gardner has come through the Queensland pathways to emerge as a top midcourter and the belief in her potential was rewarded with a three-year contract locking her in Purple until the end of 2026.

Off the court, Gardner is studying a Bachelor of Business.
